  • Acute Insomnia

Acute insomnia is the most common type. As the name suggests, this type is for a very short time. It might vary from 1 night to 7 nights. This insomnia is caused by temporary reasons such as stress in theworkplace, receiving bad news or travel. This is automatically cured when these reasons go away and you get back to your normal routine.

Solution– This insomnia is not a severe one and heals over time. The more you stress about things, the more time it will last. It normally occurs when you change your environment of sleep like your bed. Once you get back to your routine, you should be good to go.

  • Chronic Insomnia

Chronic Insomnia is long-term insomnia where an individual has trouble falling asleep for a longer duration which is at least a few weeks where you cannot fall asleep for at least 3 nights in a week. This insomnia is caused especially by the lifestyle. It is especially seen in students who do not sleep in time for studies. Once they start studying at night, the body adjusts to the late timings which cause the students routine to change and results in insomnia.

Solution– This type of insomnia is a bit tricky to treat. A person has to change his or her lifestyle. Here a few tricks can play a vital role. Music therapy is one of the greatest technique. Here is a link to the sleep music. Listen to this music when you go to bed and it helps you fall asleep
